It's no secret that when we set up The Climate Agency last summer, we wanted to bring the strategies and learnings from our long marketing and business careers to the service of climate. But it's also important for us to develop a culture that our clients and partners will enjoy working with, so we set about defining the 7 values that make us "us". We'd love to know what you think!
- Supporting Climate Solutions is our North ??. We are dedicated to helping climate start-ups and climate NGOs.? ?Our focus is on organizations?working to bring down the level of GHG in the atmosphere. We see this as the most immediate impact on Climate and also a sector where we can add depth of expertise and connections.
- We believe Humanity needs every ?? in the shed to fight Climate change.?We aim to help a broad range of climate projects get the spotlight they need to scale. Because we believe that great innovations have a habit of coming from unlikely sources.??Overall, the Climate Agency is agnostic to approaches, and wary of infighting in the sector. If we feel some solutions are presenting themselves as silver bullets, we’ll step back – or check with our advisors.???We aim to be humble, value nuances, embrace complexity.?
- We are here to help ??.? That’s why we are a Non-Profit, accessible even to early-stage start-ups. ??That does not mean we do cheap work; in fact we see ourselves as a champagne solution for the price of a beer…!?We offer a 50% subsidy to climate start-ups and NGOs for the first 3 months of collaboration.?In terms of suppliers, we will look for pro-bono, use our contacts, and try to deliver the best for less.?
- We aim to build a culture balancing high performance with kindness and warmth??: We have already proven ourselves through senior and successful careers, this is not about ego or money.?Clients feel we are genuinely on their side, kind and not transactional – building relationships based on mutual respect.? Partners and suppliers will engage with us on long term and friendly collaboration.?We’ll aim to remain kind under pressure. We’ll strive to not get overwhelmed by the climate topic, but compartmentalise, as we imagine war surgeons do
- ?? Speed matters?Climate organisations don’t have time to wait, and the climate emergency needs action now. We strive to avoid cumbersome processes, prioritise agility. Typically, we’ll get practical recommendations and actions within weeks instead of months.??
- We want to bring new talent and expertise ??to the climate world.???We feel climate action needs the most experienced and talented people from any sector, and we see our role as bringing to Climate people who ARE NOT working on Climate currently.? We are opening a channel for agencies, top flight creative teams and broader professionals to give time and expertise to the sector, and we’ll guide them through the complexity of the briefs.
- ?? We believe the Climate community needs to “Talk Human” and be mindful of the Curse of Knowledge??.?The more you know, the less well you explain.? We’ll always strive for clarity and relevance, push boundaries to reach broader audiences.?We believe climate belongs to everyone, and climate solutions need to reach broader audiences.?
