Why we get inspired by Story Telling

I have been fascinated and inspired by the stories entrepreneurs have told me about how and why they started their businesses.
like the man who answered an advertisement in a newspaper who now owns one of Australia's most innovative and leading Telecommunications companies, or the franchise owner who started his business in the back of his house labouring for many years just believing in his idea and that it solves a problem in the marketplace, that franchise now has close to 100 franchisee and turning over millions of dollars a year.
Stories have power. They delight, enchant, touch, teach, recall, inspire, motivate, challenge. They help us understand. They imprint a picture on our minds. Want to make a point or raise an issue? Tell a story.—Janet Litherland
The Story of Echoes Messages.
I was thinking about how you could take one piece of marketing and make it spread out amongst all of your marketing channels.
And I was thinking what if we could interview the CEO, or head of marketing or owner of a business and ask them to tell us about their story, about their products and about their brands.
And then what if I could take that podcast interview and repurpose it so that it fits right across the company's marketing channels.
What if I can make it into a blog, what if I could make it into a on hold message, what if I could then make it into a facebook, or twitter or linkedIn or whatever channel that the company uses.
Because we take your story, we tell your message and we tell your brand and we make it echoe.

3 Things to consider when writing your story
- Speak to the ONE (1), instead of writing to an audience speak to your avatar, place a photo of you avatar on your computer and write as if you are writing to them only, just like I am doing now
- Be authentic, if you follow my above advice by speaking to the ONE authenticity flows, tell your avatar about the ups and downs you faced on your journey and keep it real.
- Don’t FAKE It - you know the saying fake it till you make it, well not in storytelling, you’ll come undone, just ask Ryan Lochte.
