WHY WE DO BVE

BVE is the ideal opportunity for us to present ourselves to the UK/IRL market. The show is important as its timing in the show calendar makes it less about product announcements, this immediately means a change of focus for the visitor. People are attending for different reasons to that of NAB or IBC and often attend as a broader team. In my experience BVE has been the source of some of the best projects in my career because of the change in motivation to attend.

BVE provides resellers an opportunity to exhibit at the show unlike any other and for us, this year sees us taking up more stand space than we have ever done. Tyrell has been on a journey over the last two years where we have reinvented who we are and what sort of reseller we want to be. For the first time in Tyrell’s history every member of the Sales and Technical Teamare from a facility background. This was intentional as it’s this detail that sets us apart from our competition and allows us to truly understand the requirements and challenges of a facility. BVE 2018 is our first opportunity to present this tour de force.

2017 witnessed some interesting changes in the UK Reseller Market and it’s this timing that makes it more important than ever to tell our story, demonstrate our talent and share our passion for what we do. A significant evolution on this year’s show over previous is the number of manufacturers who have acknowledged how we are trying to be different, offer tangible value to them and the end user and as such want to work with us and be involved on our stand.

Our primary specialities are File Based Workflows, Communications, Streaming Productionand Video distribution. The stand this year is split into two halves. One side has Clear-Com, the market leader in voice communications who are our stand partners for a third year running. The remainder of the stand has Object Matrix and Livestream taking centre stage at the front. In the middle of the stand you will find our hospitality area where we have four pods with many our favourite partners. These pods are grouped by Storage, Live, Archive and Software. On each Pod we will have the following manufacturers:

Storage: Avid, EditShare, ProMAX, Quantum, Facilis

Live: Intinor, LiveU, JVC

Archive: StorageDNA, Sony ODA

Software: eMAM, IBM Aspera, IBM Ustream, Knox MediaHub

Shows like BVE are great for meeting lots of people, however they do not provide us the quality time with our customers that we enjoy so much. As a team we dedicate time into following up with each visitor, organising meetings or demonstrations at our purpose-built demo facility in our South Bank office.
