As they say we are afraid of public speaking, because we afraid of being rejected. It has begun many centuries ago, when being rejected by your tribe meant you were destined to death, could not survive alone.
Until today the fear of rejection holds us back from publicly express ourselves, even write post on Social Platforms.
Well, I have some tips for myself regarding Public Speaking and want to share with you, hope they will be useful.
First of all, know your audience, who they are, what they know about the topic you are going to present.
Second, keep in mind that all people are different in processing information. Generally, People have varying degrees of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic (body-oriented) preferences, so have some visuals / slides, pay attention to your voice, tone and if it’s appropriate – offer audience to do some activity/exercise related to your speech.
Third, make it simple and fun as much as it’s possible according to format.
Forth, have plan B in case of some problems with technology, weather (if it is an open-air event) and … plan, practice, prepare.
