Why We Advocate

Creating Change at Scale?

As part of our new approach to philanthropy and advancing equity, we’ve increased our investments in organizations amplifying community voices through policy and advocacy.?

This investment of $1.2M in our public policy portfolio shows we are deeply committed through our New Way Forward to working in partnership with the Legislature and community-based organizations who are also invested in creating system change through policy and advocacy.

By partnering with organizations like Strategies for Children, Citizens Housing and Planning Association, Alliance of YMCAs, Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation and more, we’re raising awareness of issues and research to advance creative, innovative solutions through legislation and policy.? ?

Recently, we honored seven legislators who are champions in our work to advance thriving, equitable communities. Learn more about how we are working together to increase access to safe and stable housing, resources to build income and assets, and more.?
