Why Waiting For The Recovery Is a HUGE Mistake

Why Waiting For The Recovery Is a HUGE Mistake

You may not know this, but I've created 12 courses for LinkedIn. I was supposed to be flying to Santa Barbara TODAY to shoot a couple more courses.

These online courses, available on their LinkedIn learning platform, cover everything from retail sales & service to customer loyalty, to data-driven sales management, to sales gamification, and more. You can see the full list HERE.

The other day I got a pleasant surprise. I received my monthly royalty check, and it was 75% higher than ever before!

While this was a welcome surprise, it shows that organizations are working fast and furiously to develop new skills and implement new ideas.

There's a lot of scrambling to learn, implement, and do things companies could have done long ago. Of course, nobody could have predicted this, but here we are.

Over the years, I've spoken to many prospective clients about growth initiatives, and the most common objection when it came time to sign the agreement was that the timing wasn't right. They were too busy to focus on things they knew were essential and would have a dramatic impact on the bottom line.

And yet now, it seems everyone has a lot of extra time on their hands.

Which leads me to this week's Tuesday Tidbit.

Now is the time to level up.

Now is the time to train your people.

Now is the time to invest in that process you've been putting off for years.

Now is the time to aggressively grab market share.

Now is the time to develop new strategic approaches.

While your competitors are struggling to stay afloat, you've got an opportunity to pull ahead.

Here's something to ponder very carefully this week.

No previous strategy will be valid in a Post-Covid19 world. Whether you like it or not, everything will change.

What will your business do differently?

How will your industry change?

Now is the time to plug the holes in the bucket and level up.

As an example, many readers have expressed interest in my 1-Day Sales Process?.

You can see what one of our larger clients said about their experience and results HERE: https://noahfleming.com/1-day-sales-process/

Of course, you could cut costs and wait to invest and hope things go back to normal. Or, right now, you could fix your sales process. You know, the one that you've been talking about fixing since 2017.

I'm offering the 1-Day Sales Process remotely at a drastically reduced fee (typically a $25K investment), and the first one is already booked.

Can you afford NOT to put this into place? It might just be the thing that keeps your sales team selling over the next 3-6 months.

I know for me, I can't just sit around and wait.

I practice what I preach and eat my own dog food. For example, last week, I spent three days getting certified to help my clients with a groundbreaking way to formulate business strategy for small to mid-market companies, and it's completed in just a couple of days. It's called Sentient Strategy?, and we can do it remotely.

It's strategy formulation on steroids. Instead of investing $50-100K and spending months of your time developing a strategic plan that's outdated by the time you print it, we build a living/breathing strategy ready to implemented immediately and easily revised as conditions changed.

For example, you should be setting a strategic plan for the next 3-4 months and revisiting when the recovery starts. Let me know if you'd like to learn more.

This week, I ask you to consider:

What skills need to be upgraded with your people or processes?

What investment decisions were put off because the timing wasn't right?

Where do you need the most help right now?

As a bonus to Tuesday Tidbit readers, I'm offering everyone the opportunity to spend time with me on a brief call to figure out the most relevant and essential areas for you to be focused on during this global economic upheaval.

We will recover.

But, if you're holding on, status quo, assuming things will eventually go back to normal, you're in for a big wake up call.

However, if you're looking at your business with a critical eye to decide how your organization will be different and better when we find our way on the other side of this, then you've got a fighting chance.

I want to help.

What about the companies that are still running? How do we deal with the transition in a logically executed manner? How and when do we get the pause for reevaluation?
