A picture is worth thousand words.
Actually this is a popular belief but science is on the same side as well. Human brain can process visuals up to 60,000 times faster than text. In addition, Scientists have found that the average attention span of a goldfish is nine seconds, and this is the attention range we normally achieve. When it comes to marketing, this means that content created with visuals is naturally more interesting for readers. Visual marketing focuses on using unique and relevant images. We have all seen statistics about posts with visuals that normally receive more views and reinforce your content and give values.
Visual effects
Your visual image or video give immediately extreme power to your brand, as language, tone of voice and use of colors might be personalized and enhance values. An integrated communication strategy must always take in focus everything you do. As coherence and constacy are strategic pilars to create brand awareness. For instance, video interview or image where other people show or comment your products/services are truly effective and powerful. Obviously, formats and images depend on the product or services you handle with, so you can choose among Infographics for statistics, pictures for customer experience or video to tell a story, a tutorial or something you need to show and explain.
What is more powerful: Visual Marketing or Content Marketing?
Well content is the king, so what’s the proper evolution and combination between Visual and content marketing? Is it possible to tell a story about our brands without using any words? I think the right evolution is visual content marketing where content and images are properly combined to reinforce Brand and to influence target audience. I don't like separation on the contrary, integration is a good solution.
Let’s do some example, such as meme, or animated Gif. They are a nice way to show an integrated communication with a strong and nice brand and engagement for audience. Some advantages using visual content marketing is related to getting your message across faster. A visual strategy is easier to remember for audience and of course you might create some nice user experience on your social media pages and interesting content on your website to nurture your audience and stimulate their interests and interactions.
What Is a Visual Marketing Strategy?
The game between text and image must be always balanced and constantly repeated. Content should appear in multiple mediums with specific tone of voice. Audiences must recognise your brand but your brand must fit on the specific channel. Some principles and techniques can help you develop your visual marketing strategy because you must be unique and relevant guiding your audiences in interesting and useful experience. In your strategy it is important to create a strong design integrating different tools whose aim is to involve and engage your network, creating emotions and content related to specific platform and Website.
Last but not least every strategy must contain one clear call to action to be clear and guide your audience.

3 年This is quite an excellent explanation that even I, as a non-expert, understand well. One particularly valuable tip for me is that there should always be one clear call to action. I find that very important. It also reminds me that while today we can do a lot of things ourselves relatively easily. And yet it is so much more professional and effective when we call in an expert like you! Thank you very much dear Anna!
