Introduction
In this blog, we will guide you on how to create your account on Google Ads. Google Ads is a powerful advertising platform that allows businesses to reach their target audience and promote their products or services effectively. By following a simple process, you can easily create an account and start advertising on Google. Whether you already have a Gmail account or need to create a new one, we will show you the step-by-step procedure.
Creating a Google Ads Account
To create a Google Ads account, you first need to visit the website of Google Ads, which is ads.google.com. Once you land on the homepage, you will see two buttons at the top right corner: "Sign In" and "Start Now."
If you are creating a new account, click on the "Start Now" button. However, please note that you should be logged in to your Gmail account before proceeding. If you are already logged in, the account creation process will be smoother.
Skipping the On-Boarding Process
After clicking "Start Now," scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will find a small line that says, "Switch to expert mode." Click on it to switch to expert mode, which will provide a different flow for account creation.
By switching to expert mode, you can bypass the on-boarding process, where it asks you to specify your business name, create a campaign, and provide credit card details. It is recommended to skip this process to avoid getting stuck in a loop.
At the bottom of the expert mode page, you will see an option to "Create an account without a campaign." Click on it to proceed further without creating a campaign at this time. This option may not be visible to everyone, as some users may have already attempted account creation. In such cases, we will provide an alternative solution later in this blog.
Confirming Business Information
After selecting "Create an account without a campaign," you will be asked to confirm your business information. It will prompt you to select your billing country, time zone, and currency. These details are essential and cannot be changed later, so make sure to choose them correctly.
If you are creating an account for yourself, select the country where you live and the currency you prefer for payment. For example, if you have a credit card from a Pakistani bank, choose PKR as the currency. If you are creating an account for a client, specify their country and currency accordingly.
Keep in mind that most accounts accept both debit and credit cards, but the available features may vary depending on the bank. Choose the currency that aligns with your account and payment preferences.
Search Ads: Advertisers craft text ads on the Search Network, targeting Google-searched keywords. This positions them in Search results during peak customer engagement or buying intent. While a single PPC type, Search ads are commonly referred to as paid search.
Display Ads: The Display Network allows visual banner ads on Display Network websites. With Google Display Network reaching around 90% of global internet users, it offers a vast audience. Optimal results emerge when combining Search and Display strategies.
Shopping Ads: Utilize Shopping campaigns by linking a comprehensive product feed to your account. Google will showcase your matching products on Google Search, the Google Shopping tab, and various placements within the Google Shopping network. Users have the option to make direct purchases from the ad or visit the product page.
YouTube Ads: Given Google's ownership of YouTube, leverage Google Ads to craft video or display ads visible on YouTube videos and search results. Explore further insights in our comprehensive guide to YouTube advertising.
Every type of advertisement presents unique advantages, catering to distinct objectives. Within these networks, various campaign types, placements, formats, and more exist. Some campaign types even facilitate advertising across multiple networks simultaneously.

How Google Ads Operates:
While both Search and Display campaigns are overseen through Google Ads, the term "Google Ads" commonly denotes the Search Network. Digital marketers typically identify the Display Network by its specific name. In essence, Google Ads functions through an auction system, with costs influenced not only by bids but also by the quality and relevance of ads.

Opting for Promotional Offers
Before proceeding, you will be asked whether you want to receive promotional offers from Google Ads or not. This is optional, and you can choose to receive or decline these offers. Simply select "Yes" or "No" based on your preference.
Once you have made the selection, submit the form, and your Google Ads account will be created. Congratulations! You have successfully created your account and can now access the dashboard.
