Why unplugging is so valuable for you & your business.

Why unplugging is so valuable for you & your business.

A week+ unplugged. ??

Last month I was able to fully enjoy a week with my son and our family friends....totally unplugged.

And because I've taught clients the importance of taking time off and how to take time off unplugged... Those same clients told me before I left - "there's no way I'll be interrupting your vacation - ENJOY."

A business that keeps moving forward while you sit on the beach and/or enjoy a day at Knott's Berry Farm with your family and friends. This is definitely part of the business owners dream, isn't it?

It is for me and why I celebrate this. What a true blessing to be able to unplug. It is so good for the mind, body and soul.

While 1 or 2 consecutive days unplugged does have benefits...Gifting yourself (and those around you in and out of the office) 7 or more consecutive days unplugged gives you more sustainable benefits when it comes to:

? Depth of Relaxation and Stress Reduction;

? Mental and Physical Health Benefits;

? More Cognitive Recovery and Increased Creativity & Insights;

? Stronger Relationship and Social Connections;

? Increased Well-Being; and

? Greater Business Impact

Yes, taking time off, unplugged creates a positive business impact as a well-rested leader can return with renewed energy, clarity, and motivation, positively impacting the business's long-term success.

And if there's increased benefits for you as the owner, think about how these benefits become exponential when you are encouraging your team to use their vacation time and unplug as well. The key here is to create a culture where your teams are able to take the time and truly unplug!

A few studies that support these benefits:

The Framingham Heart Study:

This long-term study found that men who did not take vacations were 30% more likely to have a heart attack compared to those who took time off. Yowza - if you are a man or have a man in your life, here's some serious reinforcement supporting you to book that vacation with him

Journal of Applied Psychology:

Research published in this journal has shown that vacations contribute to reduced stress and increased job performance.

American Psychological Association (APA):

The APA has highlighted the mental health benefits of taking vacations, including stress reduction and improved mood.

SO....

If you are a business owner who wants to have more time to unplug while still knowing your business is growing, take this as your sign....let's talk and I can start showing how my clients are able to do this multiple times a year.

More fun, more relaxation, and more time unplugged can absolutely happen while you simultaneously...increase your revenue, reduce your expenses, serve more people and GROW YOUR PROFITS.

I can help lead you there, as I have for hundreds of other business owners over the last decade and more.

Don't miss anymore opportunities to take time off with your loved ones, while also reducing your stress and likelihood of a heart attack, each day truly is a treasure and each of us as a limited number of them.

If you'd like to see if we are a good fit and learn more about what working with me looks like and consists of, send me a DM with the word "UNPLUG" and I'll personally (not my assistant, me) reach back out personally to get a time scheduled. Capacity is limited.

I did this back in July and try to do a consecutive 7 days - trust me it’s tough. I almost need to leave my environment so that I’m not tempted to look at emails. ???? but you feel so renewed and even more energetic afterwards to hit your goals…. #SharpenTheSaw

You're right. It's easy to take a couple hours here + there, but multiple days all in a row? Oy. I get stuck between my brain knowing and actually doing.
