WHY UK BANS PETROL & DIESEL CARS IN 2040

The government of UK has decided to ban the sale of petrol and diesel cars from 2040 onwards. The Government was forced to come up with tougher measures to target diesel drivers after losing a case against environmental campaigners ClientEarth over breaches of EU emissions standards. In UK, Ministers identified 81 major roads in 17 towns and cities where urgent action was required because they breached EU emissions standards, and being a clear danger to people's health.

Yet, is the complete ban the solution to urban air-pollution? What does this mean for car-owners? Are we ready for electric vehicles?
