Why ‘taking massive action’ is NOT good enough

Why ‘taking massive action’ is NOT good enough

Take ‘massive’ action, they say. Well, a dog can ‘massively’ hump a tree, doesn’t make it the right course of action.

Doing the wrong thing HARD doesn’t make it any more the right thing.

Doing the easy thing first doesn’t make it the right thing either.

Instead of thinking ‘take massive action’, think: ‘what is the cost of inaction’?

The ‘cost of inaction’ is the pain you will feel if you DON’T take massive action. And it’s quite a simple formula:

1. BEFORE you hump a tree hard, think first ‘what is the cost of inaction’?

2. If the cost or pain is low, do NOT take the action

3. If the cost or pain is great, TAKE the action

So why do most people NOT follow this simple formula?

Because the VERY thing they need to do is painful, so they take MASSIVE action on easy, wrong things, to AVOID the pain. I call that ‘active procrastination’.

Humping a tree really hard 24/7 365, grinding out that tree, still doesn’t make it the right action. You’re far better off doing the painful thing, or NO-thing at all and enjoy your procrastination.

If it feels easy now, it will probably be hard later.

If it is hard now, it will probably be easy later.

What do you think about ‘taking massive action' to becoming successful?
