Why taking a First Aid course should be in your 2023 bucket list

We are almost a full month into 2023 and so far so good - we have survived 100% of our bad days and hopefully made the best out of our good ones. Here's a few reasons why taking a First Aid course should be in your bucket list this year :

  1. It's a life skill - Basic First Aid skills could be the difference between life and death , or simply just helping and staying with someone until professional help arrives.?
  2. Stay ready for adventures - Be it sports like the World Rally Championships, hike expeditions, a trip down to the coast or up north, stay travel and adventure ready this year by learning life saving skills and increase resourcefulness by having emergency numbers.
  3. Debunk the myths - A lot of information exists for consumption regarding first aid in different situations, but what is accurate? I have had different opinions from my students on common emergencies like nose bleeding - do you tilt the head back or forward? Clear your doubts and avoid misinformation by learning what Science says.
  4. Promote early recovery - Early medical help by the public has been associated with improved outcomes for the affected as well and ultimately reduced hospital stays.
  5. Ensure proper use of the “Big Red Box” ?- It is a common sight in our offices , cars and even in public spaces, but do you know how to use the contents of a First Aid Kit during minor emergencies?
  6. Keep children safe - Kids are prone to medical and injury emergencies. A common accident like choking in infants could lead to death. Other common emergencies like falls from heights could lead to permanent neurological deficits if not well handled. Taking a First Aid class helps equip you and most importantly gives you confidence to act.
  7. Career enhancement - Taking a First Aid Course might just be the platform you need to get a better insight as you decide what course of study to pursue next. The course offers an insight into medical - related careers and is a good onboarding experience for learners.
  8. ?Increase your sense of safety - Through First Aid training, participants learn to accurately assess a situation, act appropriately and be more safety conscious in their workplaces, homes and society. Learning healthy habits and practicing them keeps you in the pink of health.
  9. Become a better health companion to the elderly population - I like to think of people who take care of the elderly more like healthcare companions. They help them feed, do their daily physiotherapy, keep them company and help them track their medication. Whether family or not, geriatrics deserve special care and attention from each one of us. Knowing how to correctly assist them in a medical emergency goes a long way in improving their quality of life.
  10. Get an edge over your competition - Scenarios posed during the sessions help boost? your communication, ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, teamwork, decision making and leadership skills. Add First Aid training to your range of skills and even get certified for it!?

These are skills that we really hope you will never have to use, but are important to have in case need arises. If you have been looking for a sign to register for a class, here's your cue! Sign up for our February class here https://t.co/KQmVugj5Pp

I shared it but we share FREE information, because most of our members are in vulnerable situations. Perhaps, you could make it available to them free, individually??
