Why not take a deep breath?

This week we’re continuing the theme of personal development by talking about something that is often a challenge for people: public speaking.?

Standing in front of an expectant crowd who are hoping to gain some insight from what you are about to say can be nerve wracking but here are some steps you can take to make sure you do justice to your knowledge:?

  • Practice: familiarity with?your speech will help with nerves and give you direction.?
  • Treat it as a conversation: by engaging with your audience, you’ll make more of an impression.?
  • Remember to breathe: even if you feel nervous, appearing physically relaxed will communicate your expertise to your audience and help you believe it too.?

Public speaking might be daunting at times, but it’s a skill and that means it can be improved.?
