Why switch from an on-prem PBX to the cloud?

What are the advantages of the Cloud?

A lot of customers when they first start to think about changing from their legacy phone system to the cloud, they really dive into what are the cost savings? What is this going to mean for me from a TCO perspective. What we find is that customers will see anywhere between 30 to 60 per cent cost savings in going cloud. The way to think about this is an iceberg concept, you only see so much above the water, but the deeper you look the more cost and more complexity really comes into the picture. When companies think of an on-premise PBX system the typical cost upfront is the CAPEX (the cost to purchase the hardware). As you start to go below the line this is where more detail comes into the picture, you are looking at the network connectivity, software licenses, maintenance, FAX, analog lines, PRIs, audio/video conferencing.

When you think of Business Connect and the cloud, go back to the iceberg analogy, what we find is that the items that are above the iceberg are very simple: the monthly service cost that you are paying per user. When you start to look below the line, what you find is many of those costs go away and with that you reduce network and IT complexities, minimize risks, eliminate costly annual software maintenance costs all while driving efficiencies and productivity.

The bottom line is you are going to see cost savings, you are going to see productivity gains, happier IT staff and employees.
