Medical sales has changed dramatically yet companies have not adapted in a way that puts reps in a position to succeed.
Worse, it puts innovation at risk.
Daniel Hawkins was on a rocket when is company Shockwave Medical went public. But there was a problem that kept bothering him.
That problem was that the current status quo in medtech around selling, servicing, and nurturing customers was not scalable.
There was a necessity of being physically present in operating rooms (ORs) at every stage, from design and testing to clinical trials and surgeon training.
The demands of physical OR presence can slow down the innovation cycle, limiting how quickly new products reach the market, and curbing initial revenues and return on investment.
So he founded Avail Medsystems has moved to Mendaera, Inc. to solve the problem.
In this episode, we dive into the state of medical sales and how telepresence offers a way to scale innovation and success in the OR.
