WHY SUPERVISION AND ACCREDITATION?

WHY SUPERVISION AND ACCREDITATION?

Welcome to the latest edition of the Association for Coaching’s (AC) Newsletter. This week:

  • Join Michelle Lucas in a new webinar on the mindset of a Coach Supervisor
  • Listen to podcasts discussing the role of supervision for coaches
  • Read an interview with Erik de Haan, author of ‘Being Supervised: a guide for supervisees,’ in our Coaching Perspectives

Whilst the skills are very similar, what is it that differentiates a coach supervisor from a coach?

On October 17, join Michelle Lucas , executive coach, coach supervisor and trainer and author of four books on supervision, for an interactive live webinar : What Informs a Supervisor’s Mindset?

Michelle believes that a shift in mindset is the most important element for a coach becoming an effective coach supervisor and, in this webinar, she will share her tested framework – the StEWARD model – which articulates the mindset of a Coach Supervisor.

In this webinar, you will learn:

  • What are the six components of the StEWARD model
  • Why these components need to be tailored before they are applied
  • What is the difference between a Coach and a Coach Supervisor mindset?
  • How the StEWARD model can influence your experience of supervision

For existing (or emerging) Coach Supervisors, the model offers a structure for reflection to help articulate their own approach to the work.???

For Coaches, it offers an “insider perspective” on how Coach Supervisors might form their interventions and, in so doing, invites a greater opportunity for co-creation in the supervision space.?

“Supervision is typically a profession that is needed more in times of crisis, but should not itself be in crisis.”
