Why The Summer is So Important in Business

These are the various excuses you often hear. If everyone was on holiday and nobody was around, the economy would collapse.

?

October, November and December, aka Q4, is the biggest time of the year in business for many.

?

Everyone is working frantically to hit target while also keeping an eye on the following year.

?

Here’s the problem: You won’t hit your Q4 target if you start in October. You need to start sooner which is why summer is so important.

?

Every successful business owner I’ve worked with, every talented entrepreneur I’ve had drinks with, everysales person I’ve done personalised 1:1 coaching to – they work their socks off over summer.

Sure, there’s a holiday of 1-2 weeks, that’s understandable and well deserved. You need to rest to come back stronger.

How much rest do you need and what should you be doing?

People rarely get thank you cards, so I am sending those out to business connections to say thank you. Each card has a personalised message

4 of my clients have received books in the post because it was their birthdays. Sending a LinkedIn voice note or video is also great. Taking the time and spending money to send a book with a handwritten dedication, nobody is doing and you bond more with people

I’ve finished Alex Hermozi’s funnels course for a launch I am planning in September. I’ve studying Benjamin Hardy’s Rapid Transformation course to help take me to the next level. I’m re-reading many valuable books here where I have highlighted key passages. I’m working with my business coach Gail even though business is going well.

3.???? Protect Your Mental Health

I don’t compare myself to others who are having fancy holidays, I’m happy for them. It’s taken years for me to get to this post and there’s no comparisonitis in my life. I focus on making myself better.


The Northern Irish coast is absolute heaven this time of year and I have an 8am walk for 30 minutes and 4pm walk for 30 minutes with a choice of several beaches around me. I've also invested in a stadnding desk that is helping with posture and focus.

You put in the massive effort now, you will have more success by the end of the year.

?

Every day it breaks my heart to see people failing through fear and indecision. If you don’t invest in yourself or wait until the economy picks up, then there's a huge risk of failure. Be the person who makes a positive difference to yourself and others.


After all, if you don’t invest in yourself, then why would anyone invest in you?

I hear you on the voice notes or videos, but that's kind of like a "Happy Birthday" comment on Facebook. So many people rarely even send cards; a gift in the mail is truly special.
