LinkedIn has given me access to their latest functionality to start sharing a monthly newsletter. I will devote this to two different topics. First, I will write about #NewWork and our journey to transform Swisscom into a lean and agile organization. Second, I will use this newsletter to share insights and learnings on information and communication technology trends and how we use them at Swisscom. I will dive into details of our assessment of these technologies and what we learned from using them.

What to Expect from upcoming Newsletters?

Real-life agile and DevOps transformation learnings

At Swisscom we embarked on an agile transformation many years ago. Today, the whole IT and network area work in lean or agile DevOps setups. This unique journey which involves over 4'000 employees has lead to an extensive collection of good practices and learnings on how to execute such a transformation and really scale agility. Today, we are focusing very much on entreprise agility and linking our lean portfolio execution to the group strategy. I like to share success stories, pitfalls, and insights.

Technology assessment from the trenches

The technology world changes ever more quickly and it is not always easy to assess the potential of new technologies. At Swisscom, we use many of them, sometimes in battle-tested environments running 24*7 and serving millions of users. I will share our usage of certain IT and network technologies and what we learnt from it.
