Why Speed Is of the Essence when Writing a Book to Attract Clients

The longer you take to write your book, the more opportunity your little saboteur has to talk you out of it!

Who is this little saboteur?

Let me introduce you: look out for them as you read the following statement:

“I help clients write their million-dollar book to their soul clients in one week.”

Did you hear that voice screaming,

“Impossible. It can’t be done!”

That is your little Saboteur.


Also known as your subconscious mind.

And, depending on your stored information and beliefs about books and book marketing, it will also say things like

“It takes ages to write a book.”

“I don’t have time to write a book right now.”

And

“How could I possibly make a million with a book?

I would have to shift a shedload of books!

?This is a preposterous claim.”

But somewhere behind that tantrum is another little voice whispering:

“But what if it were possible? What if I really could get my book written to my dream clients in one week?"

I’m here to tell you that it is perfectly possible and I have already helped dozens of clients to to do exactly that, simply by silencing that little voice long enough to get it done.

There it goes again:

?“But, if it is written in a week, it can’t be a GOOD book!”

That is typical of the lies your little saboteur will feed you, together with other old chestnuts, such as " You have to suffer to write a book. You'll be burning the midnight oil! Writer's block! Agony.......!"

Not true.

You will only suffer if you don't understand where that voice is coming from, and you are not aware of the tricks it will deploy to make writing difficult.

Let me explain!

There are two voices in your head. One voice is your conscious mind who sees the value of having an authority book to speak directly to your ideal clients, so that they get to know, like and trust you, then ask to work with you. (I talk more about the marketing methods in another article)

However, what no one tells you about is that other voice!

?Your Little Saboteur -your subconscious mind – DOES NOT want you to PUBLISH

What?!? Why?

It was as I helped clients to write and publish that I began to observe what happened when an author held their newly-published book.

They changed!

?It was as if they were seeing their genius from the outside, for the first time - and they saw the true value of the service they delivered. They would say things like “Is this really me?” “Do I really offer this much value?”

The change was palpable as they began to step up into this new version of themselves; ready to serve at a higher level.

Be aware: Your subconscious mind already knows that this will happen to you when you publish!

Your subconscious is not interested in you stepping up. The role of the subconscious mind is to keep you safe and to do that, it must avoid change at all costs.

Your subconscious mind does not want you to publish a book.

Oh, it’s quite happy to let you write a few chapters, do some research, think about it, discuss it- but the closer you get to finishing the writing or (heaven forfend!) actually publishing- the harder it will work to stop you.

Writing a book without being prepared for your little saboteur will feel like pushing against the wind.
