Why are some people so stupid?
You know, it's rather unnerving to watch someone pull a gun and shoot themselves in the foot. Not just a little hole - blam! - they've blown both trotters into total oblivion.
Metaphorically, of course.
Just for fun, I've listed the four most common objections we get to our product which come from real, live adults. Yes, I'm serious. An average age of 37.5 years old, possessing grown-up stuff like razors, driving licences and Man U season tickets.
1..."We decided to go for steel shed because it was cheaper"
Hello? Really? Sure it's not Kitkat wrappers? Is that decimal point in the right place? Can you count beyond your fingers and toes, or does your mum help after that?
Zappshelters are exceptionally cost-effective when compared to other structures. They can go up in a few hours using the most basic of equipment and rarely need planning permission. Oh, and they look absolutely stunning.
2..."We went for a steel shed because it was more permanent"
Oh my word! How do you define 'permanent'? ***BREAKING NEWS! Russians drop atom bomb on Chipping Norton. Only a steel shed left standing*** Get real.
I just Googled guarantees on steel buildings and one well-known shed manufacturer offers you a full two years. After 24 months, you're on your own and, if it falls down, buy another. We offer five. (5) Cinq. Fünf. Furthermore, some have been out in the field in the harshest environments on Earth for nearly 20 years, and are still going strong. How much more permanent should it be?
3..."Our product is getting damaged by the weather, but we don't have the budget"
Stunning logic. Just keep throwing away duff stock then. I'm sure the accountant won't mind and the figures will look just splendid at the year-end.
4..."My staff leave because they hate working in the rain, but I don't want to spend the money"
Not sure I really want to think too deeply about this one because it's the sort of thing that keeps me awake at night. For goodness' sake, your people are your biggest asset. Without them, YOU..... ARE.... FINISHED. Zilch. Finito. Stuffed.
And, not only are they a valuable asset, they are also more expensive to lose than to retain. Think it through: you hire a mechanic, train him/her, get them into the groove and, after a year, they walk. What is the next step? Repeat the process - find the right person, kit them out and train them. Until they're trained, they're costing you serious money. Spend a bit on an under-cover work area and he/she is yours to keep.
It's scary how many people still don't realise that there are really cost-effective finance packages available. Being a capital item, the lease of a Zappshelter can be offset against tax which saves roughly the same as the interest you pay. Spread it over three-five years and you'll pay so little per month that you'll hardly notice. Furthermore, the money you save in keeping your stock in tip-top condition will more than pay for it.
Yes, I want to sell Zappshelters, and I don't deny that. In fact, our fantastic team are doing that very successfully already; however, I want to debunk the illogical myths because they're innovative, awesome and here to stay.
