Meditation is the art of having inner peace! It is about consciousness and helps you gain clarity in your purpose and strengthen your mindset. Meditation is a great tool for decluttering your mind and reducing stress. It supports you in your decision making and goal setting to ensure your life is aligned to your values resulting in your best health and wellbeing.

1) Mantra – saying a simple mantra, phrase or sounds to yourself
2) Visualisation – visulising an enjoyable event like a day at the beach

How do I do it?
??No Rules- There is no right or wrong way in meditation. You can do it anytime and anyplace. You only need to give it a try and stay focused!
??Make it a regular practice- If we make a daily routine to meditate, we get better clarity of our goals and priorities which ultimately helps in better decision making.
??Social Apps- There are a lot of apps and online videos available these days that provide the technique of meditating and track your progress too- which I believe is a good way to learn! Some of my favourites include 1 Giant Mind and Headspace.
??Keep it short and simple- As a beginner try to have short meditation sessions to avoid distractions and discouragement which can make you feel overwhelmed. Set a timer for 1 minute. You can then build up to 3, 5 and 10 minutes. I find 15-20 minutes a day works for me but everyone is different.
??Keep all the benefits in mind that can work as a motivator for you!
What’s next?
Stress is unavoidable but you can either let your body suffer from it or opt to do something about it. Having a balance in our mind, body, and soul is really important and we can certainly achieve it through meditation. So, invest in yourself and embrace the power of meditation!
