Why should you create a Linkedin Newsletter?

1. Blue Ocean. As it is a fairly new feature on LinkedIn that doesn’t have too many established leaders or influencers yet, there are many opportunities in experimenting with new features being rolled out and hopping on the bandwagon sooner rather than later.

2. Algorithm. The Algorithm favours newsletters and will promote them in the Algorithm. More people seeing your articles will increase the interactions with it.

3. Authority. Become an authority in your area of expertise. Share your knowledge with your network and beyond it to find interested and like minded people.

So how do you get access to the Newsletter feature?

Go to your profile and turn on Creator Mode. This is also a new feature that is being rolled out for. If you turn on creator mode and meet the criteria you will get / can ask for access to the newsletter. The criteria are as follows; minimum of 150 followers/connections, recent shares of original content, and meeting community policies.
