Students can learn the concept by themselves and when they come to school they can do the homework at home. Imagine if a classroom where teachers did not only teach 30 students but the capacity level of millions. The digital classroom allows students to progress at their own paste and their own time.
Education is providing students with the tools to learn. Teaching is to facilitate learning. The whole goal of the teacher should be to help to students learn for themselves and by themselves. The whole problem regarding the current classroom is that is centered on the teacher. The teacher normally tell the student many thing; what to learn, how to learn, when to learn, what assignments to do to learn and how to prove that they learnt it.
The teacher does not need to do that anymore. By changing the plate the content is deliver. Instead of a teacher standing in a classroom saying heres how it works, this is how you do this problem, the teacher can now flip the classroom.
“Another thing we have noticed during these questions and answer times is how our quiet students come out of their shells a bit. Sadly, some of our students rarely have adults listen to them. Their parents are too bust, their teachers are talking to them and thus the only people who will listen to them are their peers. These conversational times has opened up our chance to get to know our students on a more personal level which has paid dividends in helping troubled teens through difficult times.” Jonathan Bergmann, Flipped Blog Post
In the flipped classroom model all students get access to the lectures and when they come in to class they do the homework. Using these model students who want to learn can learn without being disturbed compare to the conventional classroom where the teacher has to do the lecturing, babysitting, helping the students who have questions and focusing on the lessons end outcome.
