Public speaking, in my opinion, helps you demonstrate your competence and confidence, both of which employers value in their employees. People who participate in public speaking opportunities may gain additional credibility. Furthermore, when you speak, you demonstrate leadership qualities. You are exceeding expectations by going above and beyond. So, in addition to the academic pressure, if you can only learn one skill, make it public speaking because it will help you advance in your career.
