Why the shift to Non-Profit
If you take a step back and just listen to the world, especially in the time of #covid19, you realise how much support individuals, communities, and non-profits need.
Non-profits provide a foundation of support to these communities that are much needed and appreciated.
In the words of John Legend:
"And heaven knows I'm not helpless, yeah,
But what can I do?
I can't see the use in me crying,
If I'm not even tryna make the change I wanna see"
So this is my attempt to start that change that I want to see, with my own non-profit called Korsie.co.
“Korsie” in the South African language called Afrikaans, means Crust. The first or last slice of bread is the crust and is either enjoyed and eaten or in most cases discarded by many.
Luck of the draw puts many individuals in a place of privilege, something others will never experience. Have you ever wondered how much the last slice of bread could mean to a hungry individual?
Korsie is an NPC, Non-profit Company, based in Cape Town, Western Cape with satellite offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth. Our unique approach to community, marketing, technology, sales, and education, offers other non-profits an unmatched service, price, and technical support foundation to further their sustainability projects within budget amongst other things.
Over the next few weeks, we'll release insights into our board, technology and available services specifically focused at non-profits and with the intention of redistributing our funds back into community-based projects.
NB: We're a non-profit, so presentations is as visual as it gets until we've pivoted to video content :)
