Why, she is seen as a future daughter-in-law only?

The World today is changing drastically, the things and the situations have become advanced and high tech but discussion with my friends and cousins revealed that one thing today also has not changed i.e. the mentality, actually the mentality regarding girls.

The girls today also, are not measured by their virtues, skills, achievements rather they are just judged by their skills to manage the kitchen, make food, keep home clean etc. In short, the girl is not seen as a future CEO, president or entrepreneur. She is always seen as a future wife and a daughter-in-law. The society needs a typical Indian bahu. They do not need a girl of versatile character. The society forgets her Olympic gold medals, her corporate achievements, and her academic qualifications because as per them these are the qualities which they do not require. It’s true that it is not the mentality of the whole society but in such a situation the life really becomes difficult for a corporate lady, a girl who wants to excel both in personal and professional life.

I am not saying that every girl should be a corporate diva and Indian bahus are not doing anything. In fact, they are the best managers in the world who are doing their work with full dedication and no holiday. I respect them but I just want to say that what about a girl who has given her 23 years, a major part of life for education, academics, and career. In this period she has spent her days and nights for her education and has sacrificed many things. Actually, the society does not care about it because they only know that girl and do not know the hard journey behind her. 

Sometimes a girl has no option and she chooses to turn out as per society. Within few years she forgets all her past and is also happy with her life. A girl who had the potential of becoming the CEO becomes just a home manager. I here just want to convey that a corporate lady, a business tycoon also have all the capabilities of becoming a home manager. All she expects is support from her family and positive attitude of the society.

Hope that the world which is becoming advanced in every field will also become advanced in the most important area “mentality”.
