Why not share market insights?
Last week, we highlighted the most effective ways to?introduce colleagues at client meetings. Today, we’re focusing on the power of sharing market news and views.
When we’re managing multiple accounts, we often forget how isolating it can feel for clients who don’t know anyone else in their position. Are they the only business struggling with this particular issue around intellectual property? How are their peers preparing for a potential economic downturn?
“We don’t function well as human beings when we’re in isolation.”?
Robert Zemeckis
While still being discreet and maintaining confidentiality, insights from your other clients can add value to a meeting. For example:
“You’re not alone – most of our clients are finding it hard to recruit at the moment. Last week I was speaking to another software company who’ve been working with freelancers to fill the gaps. That may be worth considering as an interim solution?”
Sharing what others are doing is a quick win that can reassure clients and cement your position as an industry expert.
