Why Not Set Big Goals

Setting goals is an essential facet of personal and professional growth. While small, attainable goals provide a sense of accomplishment, setting big goals can push us beyond our comfort zone and unlock our full potential.

By striving for more significant aspirations, we challenge ourselves, discover new possibilities, and create opportunities for extraordinary achievement.

A wise mentor once said, “We should set big goals, live our lives to their fullest, and minimize regrets, if possible.” That advice turned out to be extremely valuable for me.

Something about the human spirit gets us fired up by a challenge or a big goal. When we aim higher, we are forced to step outside the boundaries of what we know and are comfortable with. We introduce ourselves to new experiences, knowledge, and perspectives by venturing into unchartered territory.

It’s not just about what you achieve but who you become. So, setting big goals and reaching the goals is what we strive for, absolutely, but the growth, mental fortitude, strength, resilience, and confidence you gain by pursuing big goals are priceless.

Many of the world’s most significant advancements have resulted from individuals who dared to dream big and pursued audacious goals with all the determination they could muster. They did things the average person would not do. They made sacrifices the average person is not willing to make. But the difference it made was extraordinary.

As the saying goes, “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you will land among the stars.”

You will attract small results if you think small, set small goals, and do mediocre work. You'll achieve extraordinary results if you think big, set big goals, and do exceptional work.

It’s a great day to start something big.
