Why Self-Help is ineffective & how "I Grow Younger" is different

Most self-help content promises transformation, yet many people struggle to see lasting results. So, why doesn't self-help always work? The answer may lie in the complexity of applying advice to our unique lives. Drawing from the revolutionary insights of mathematician Alexander Grothendieck, I believe there's a way to simplify this journey to real change—one that aligns with how our brains naturally function and helps us, our families, and our communities thrive with minimal but impactful adjustments.

Grothendieck's genius was in his ability to reimagine structures, making complex concepts simpler and more effective. He conceptualized an improved structure in key areas of mathematics, which helped solve challenging problems with surprising ease. Inspired by his method, I Grow Younger applies this approach to personal growth: breaking down confusing complexity into simpler components that anyone can use to make life’s ‘issues’ easier to solve.

The Self-Help Formula—And Where It Breaks Down

If self-help were a math formula, we could break it down into five key factors:

  1. Clarity (A) – Does the person receiving the advice fully understand it?
  2. Simplicity (B) – Once understood, how easy is it to follow?
  3. Effectiveness (C) – Does the advice lead to meaningful results?
  4. Value (D) – What long-term benefit does it bring?
  5. Stability (E) – How likely is it that positive changes will stick?

Of these, Clarity (A) is often where things fall short. Clarity is a spectrum of your intuitive understanding and this spectrum supports huge sudden improvements. Intuition has this moment when it "clicks" and suddenly everything is clear. Like irreversibly unlocking a lock with a key. However, it's a largely random process and more than 99% of the keys don't work. Until one does, we see no progress so it's not your typical linear-ish learning curve. It's hard to be aware of your set of locks (personal triggers and motivations) and thus finding keys that match them. Most of the existing self-help materials are decent but fall short of the very high bar of being a "key", thus not in fact bringing true clarity. It's there are no emotional "aha!" moments, clarity is not reached at the desired level.

The I Grow Younger Solution: Keys to Unlock Personal Growth

At I Grow Younger, we aim to give you the keys you need for self-improvement in a way that feels natural and accessible. This isn’t about giving you instant solutions but about helping you build a framework to develop your intuition, align with your goals, and unlock long-term growth through very basic concepts like love, fear, structure, time, and chaos. Many simple patterns built on these concepts act as keys, aligning with the ‘locks’ within you that, when activated, lead to authentic and lasting change.

A Journey Built on Intuition & Structure

I’ve spent over 20 years analyzing change in my life and the lives of others, and since 2021, it’s become a huge passion. Much of what I’ve learned has been deeply intuitive, but I’m committed to sharing it in ways that are easy to grasp and apply.

I know time is precious, especially in a fast-paced world. My 40-minute videos might seem long, but I promise you they’re worth every minute. I’m here to offer my insights for free because I genuinely believe in the impact they can have.

For those who are ready to step beyond conventional self-help, dive in with me. This is about building intuition, discovering the right structures, and unlocking the life you want for you and others—one key realization at a time.
