In 2024, Schneider Electric has been named the world’s most sustainable company by Time Magazine, a recognition that underscores the company's commitment to sustainability across all facets of its operations. The majority of my career has been spent at Schneider Electric, where I have been for close to 13 years. During this time, I have witnessed remarkable organizational transformation, driven by the visionary leadership and strategic foundation laid by our chairman, Jean-Pascal Tricoire .

Evaluation Methodology: The evaluation criteria included compliance with international reporting standards, emissions reductions, and a demonstrated commitment to sustainability initiatives. Schneider Electric achieved a top score of 88.6, surpassing its nearest competitor, NEC Corp, by over 3 points. The company’s high performance was attributed to several critical factors:

  • Ambitious Emissions Targets: Schneider Electric aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2025. The company has maintained an "A" climate score from the CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) for 12 consecutive years, reflecting its consistent commitment to reducing emissions (TEDmag).

Awards and Recognition: In addition to being recognized by Time Magazine, Schneider Electric has also been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for the 13th consecutive year, securing the top spot in its industry.
