Francis has enacted a Sabbatical Program to foster a work environment that retains a wide variety of talented professionals.? Under this program, long-serving team members are eligible for an extended paid vacation, are provided funds to cover travel expenses, and are encouraged to “unplug” from their daily routine.? Team members are then asked to share their experiences with the whole team, further bonding the team as we all vicariously enjoy our teammates' sabbatical experiences.
On my most recent sabbatical, my family stayed at The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks . While enjoying a fantastic resort experience, we were introduced to a school that has answered the student debt question plaguing America's youth.
The College of the Ozarks has been fondly nicknamed "Hard Work U". Students attending Hard Work U work summers and during the school term. In return, these hard-working students graduate with no debt. Jobs vary widely, from baking the bedtime cookies to milking the cows at the on-campus dairy. From tending the grounds to creating stained glass gifts for the shop; we saw students doing it all.

While this is a great deal for the students, it has another unintended consequence for visitors. While we were staying at the Keeter Center, the room service, the front desk, the wait and kitchen staff at the dining room - everyone we interacted with was a student at the school. Everyone was hard-working, respectful, and eager to serve. The result was a week of being pampered by America's finest youth!
If you are traveling anywhere near Branson, MO, consider staying at the Keeter Center. And if you do stay somewhere else, at least make a reservation early for dinner in the dining room. And if you do, say "hi" to Jacob Wood from Ohio!
