Why not be in the room where it happens?

Why not be in the room where it happens?

Continuing our series on marketing and business development basics, we’re diving into the importance of ‘where’ you engage. ?

We’ve tackled the?‘who’?(defining your audience) and the?‘what’?(your message), but to really connect with your audience, you should pinpoint where they spend time, both online and offline. ??

Online, ensure your presence aligns with your audience’s preferred platforms. LinkedIn favours formality, while Instagram suits a more casual approach. Consider where your clients are active; if Facebook isn’t on their radar, it shouldn’t be on yours. ?

Offline, attend relevant events like networking sessions or webinars. Consistent participation not only lines up with your firm’s goals but also helps colleagues choose future events wisely. Clear internal messaging ensures everyone communicates effectively and selects events that truly benefit the firm.?

“Opportunities don’t knock; they whisper. Be in the room where the whispers of possibility echo loudest.” - Jim Collins, author.
