Why is Python for data science preferred over other tools?

Python is a general-purpose programming language used by data scientists. Recently I wrote about the top data science programming languages. In which I stated, according to StackOverflow survey, Python is the most loved programming language for data science.

But now the question is, why it is preferred over other tools. I will be defining the top 3 reasons, according to my opinion, below

1. Easy to learn

Obviously, the first reason for Python to be the most loved programming language for data science is it is easy to learn. If you have prior knowledge of the programming language or you know any other programming languages like C, C++ or, Java then Python will be a piece of cake for you. Then you only need to learn the syntax of Python. But, if you don’t have any prior knowledge about any other programming language then you may face challenges to understand Python. But, it will be fairly easy to learn as compared to other programming languages.

2. Massive Set of Libraries

The second reason that in my opinion would be that it has a huge set of libraries and tools that are specially designed for data science. It offers powerful data science libraries like Keras, TensorFlow, matplotlib, Scikit-Learn, etc.

3. Python Community

Python also has a vast community where developers can ask their queries and answer other questions. A community is useful for finding the solution for challenges. Python has a huge community where you can ask about the challenge you are facing and then you can connect to other developers there. This is, in my opinion, is a great way to interact with others and finding solutions for your problem.
