I frequently encounter this question from my dynamic and youthful team on a daily basis. Consequently, I've chosen to articulate my personal insights and convictions regarding why I firmly believe that processes play a crucial role in attaining goals and objectives.
What is a process and Why we need one?
By definition, a process is a series of systematic actions that we do for a particular purpose or to achieve specific outcomes
To put in very simple terms, a process makes the complex, ambiguous flow to clear and progressive path to attain the goal.
Important Elements of a process
Effective Vs Efficient
Effectiveness is a prerequisite for efficiency in processes. Every process has its strong reason to make something successful. To reach the goal efficiently, processes must be highly effective in their approach, the solutions they offer, and their overall simplicity.

Make it seamless
The success of any process always relies on how it is being implemented, how it is seamless to follow. It helps us to save our energy to focus on better things. Successful implementation is facilitated by adhering to the best practices, maintaining clear communication, providing comprehensive training, and establishing effective feedback mechanisms.
Exceptions
There is nothing called perfect process. It is not carved on stone. Continuous learning and refinement based on experiences are integral. Every process inherently carries limitations. Therefore, before concluding any process, it is advisable to engage in brainstorming sessions to identify exceptions and devise mitigations. Any new challenges can be added as an amendment with the consensus of all stakeholders.
Flexible ??
As we know, people who follow processes diligently have to face this flexibility challenge often. It's not always easy to stick to processes in various situations. However, it's crucial to assess the benefits it offers before anticipating flexibility. A process should never adopt an amoeba-like structure, as it goes against its intended purpose. Striking a balance is imperative in all circumstances.
Benefits
Ineffective process is equal to no process. Frequently, such ineffectual processes contribute additional burdens. Through my extensive experience, it's evident that an effective process not only enhances product efficiency but also boosts overall productivity, preventing team burnouts. It serves as a catalyst for speed, agility, and the bedrock of quality.
