Why the phrase says ‘’Sprichst du Deutsch?’’

Why the phrase says ‘’Sprichst du Deutsch?’’

Seriously, why doesn’t it say: ‘’Schreibst du Deutsch’’?

It’s the same in English: ‘’Do you speak English?’’ It’s not about writing, understanding, or the volume of your vocabulary. It’s about speaking.

Even though phrases are not always literal, this one captures the essence of language learning very accurately. Knowing the language basically means speaking the language because if you can speak, it means that you know enough words and grammar rules, have solid pronunciation and can engage in a conversation. It means you fully understand and can apply the language system on any occasion.

It also has a lot to do with the basic functioning of human beings. We have languages because we can speak and we have an innate need for communicating with others. Speaking a language comfortably in any given situation is considered fluency.

That is why my program focuses on getting you to speak – in group classes, on one-on-one phone calls with a teacher, through voice messages, and through regular daily speaking practices.

After 12 weeks of my Lightspeed German Learning program, you will be able to engage in a conversation – with German friends, colleagues, and boss at a meeting, with your kid’s teacher, with a stranger if there is a need.

Just in case you don’t reach fluency in 12 weeks, don’t forget that my program comes with a warranty: the program will be automatically prolonged until you reach the expected results, without any additional cost!

Make the decision, take an action, and brace yourself for intense learning the fast and easy way, so when someone asks ’’Sprichst du Deutsch?’’ you can proudly say YES, and prove it!
