Why the Phrase "Every Business Man Needs a Black Suit" is No Longer True!

For years, it was ingrained in many of us that our very first suit MUST be a black one. In fact, if a man purchased a suit, and it wasn't black, it was widely believed that he was perhaps a man who didn't have his priorities straight!
Black is (and has always been) a color of strength. However, when worn regularly into the office, the gentleman will appear drab, dull, and lacking ambition. This is why black is commonly worn as uniform, and at funerals. Those are places where one would not want to take the attention away from a product/service, or the deceased (respectively). So unless you want to continue being skipped over for the promotion. Or perhaps, not taken seriously for a "Partnership Track," ditch the black suit.

Enter Blue...the New Black!
As a color, Blue has always been associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven...like you (Except maybe the last one).
Blue also says to your boss, a perspective client, (or that girl you keep staring at across the bar), "I am not your average guy!"
So I think we all know what color your next suit purchase should be. Not sure what shade of blue is best for your skin tone? Check out our article "Which Shade of Blue is for ME?"
