why PCB need made panel?

When we complete PCB design, there are some boards that we usually need made panel. When do we need to made panel boards? What issues should we pay attention to when made panel?

Splicing refers to the process of directly assembling small PCBs into a single piece by the manufacturer. From PCB design to mass production, PCB assembly is a very important matter. Because panel assembly not only involves the quality standards of PCB circuit boards, but also affects the cost of PCB production.

There are only three situations where panel splicing is required:

① To meet production needs. Some PCB boards are too small to meet the requirements for making fixtures, so they need to be assembled for production.

② Improve the welding efficiency of SMT patches. It only takes one SMT to complete the welding of multiple PCBs.

③ Improve the utilization rate of PCB plates and avoid waste of PCB plates. Some PCB boards are heteromorphic, and panel splicing can make more efficient use of PCB board area, reduce waste, and save costs.
