Why Be Passionate at Work?
Being passionate about your work makes you a better person to be around, makes you produce better quality work, and helps further your career. So why are so many people not passionate about their work? It's because people lose sight of how their work impacts others around them or they chose a job that wasn't the best fit for them. Don't get me wrong, there are days everyone wakes up and has no motivation or passion to do their job but passionate people remind themselves why they chose their career when these times come.
Stop being average and just filling the 9 to 5. Get out there are learn as much as you can about your career path and teach those around you. It is also helpful to try and motivate your team even if you are on the bottom. "Rocking the boat" and challenging management is a great way to drive change however you will most likely meet defensive people. The key is to try and be diplomatic while being persistent.
