Why – Part 4

?Ideas #7 & #8:

#7 - Tremendous opportunities are available to those willing to work hard and collaborate. I recently read that it takes 10x the electric energy to run an AI search than it takes to run a Google search. That, coupled with AI, is coming to market at breakneck speed, AND the electrical power grid country-wide is already stretched thin. Think of the brownouts in California.

The infrastructure of getting the power from the generators to the users is also stretched thin. Building new power stations takes years. Building new transmission and distribution lines also takes years.

An electric utility typically has an uptime of three nines or 99.9% available. That means in a year, 8760 hours, the power is statistically unavailable for 87.6 hours. Contrast that with a data center that insists on five nines or 99.999% uptime, equating to power being unavailable for less than an hour per year.

There are some big questions to answer and overcome. Undoubtedly, the answers will affect other markets. It's a perfect opportunity for a nimble team to engage and get ahead of the curve. Some say small packaged modular nuclear plants are the answer. I don't know. But for sure, the answer will not likely include solar and wind power.?

#8 - Another opportunity is mining the oceans for gold. Mining gold sounds a bit out there. But hang in for a moment. I read that more dissolved gold is in the oceans than has ever been mined. Can a group develop an invention to capture and recover this dissolved gold?

Imagine inventing a device that gathers ocean water and filters it at a level, capturing the gold and releasing the seawater back into the ocean. Or what if we vacuumed the bottom several inches of the ocean floor, separating sand and other junk and keeping the gold? It sounds fantastical, but it sounds like a fun challenge at $2000 plus per oz.?

There is so much more.

Let's develop a team, create one or more product.
