The unpredictable COVID-19 pandemic while eliciting unprecedented measures globally?further exacerbated the existing multifaceted challenges to humanity, especially in the field of education. The closure of schools disrupted the learning process of millions of learners around the world. Education systems?were confronted with the daunting multifaceted challenges of not only swiftly adapting to online learning, learner and educator digital learning platforms preparedness but also finding ways to continue providing quality education in a safe, inclusive, efficient?and effective manner.

In this article we explore the dynamic intersection of education and the post-COVID-19 reality, focusing on the existing school curriculum's pivotal role in preparing learners for a rapidly evolving global landscape. Ultimately we seek to understand the contibutions of the existing school curricula to addressing the challenges arising in a post-COVID-19 world. These insights will be instrumental in not only enhancing the effectiveness of the existing school curricula but also crucial in advancing a call to action, advocating for collaborative efforts among learners, educators, policy makers and stakeholders towards a resilient educational future for all.

This is in tandem with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The Current State of School Curricula:

While acknowledging the disruptions caused by the global pandemic in the education sector we must not lose sight of the significance of reevaluating and adapting existing school curricula to meet the demands of a post-COVID-19 world. The role of the current school curricula can be analysed in the light of the multifaceted challenges and opportunites:

· Identifying the multifaceted challenges faced by existing school curricula in addressing the diverse impacts of the global pandemic on learners and educators.

· Understanding the difficulties encountered from adapting to new teaching modalities including remote, virtual and hybrid learning.

Consequently, I am pursuaded that a thorough asessment of the strengths and limitations of exisiting curricula is necesssary in the back drop of the need for curricula adjustments to align with the requisite skills and knowledge essential in a post-COVID-19 society.
