Why Our Parks Need Your Help!
Central Coast State Parks Association (CCSPA)
We support educational programing that promotes the understanding & conservation of the natural & cultural resources.
Why support parks? More often than not, government funding for parks is allocated to address safety, staff and critical infrastructure needs. Supporting those critical needs of parks often leaves little funding left over for environmental education. Programs like school group field trips, campfire shows, guided hikes, exhibit upgrades and other educational experiences oftentimes do not happen without outside support.
The Central Coast State Parks Association (CCSPA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in partnership with California State Parks in San Luis Obispo County since 1976. We fund and support education, interpretation, and volunteering in our 10 local State Parks—covering 90 miles of coastline from Oso Flaco Lake in the south to Hearst San Simeon State Park in the north.
We count on sponsors and donors like you to make a difference! Your contributions help grow a community of youth and adults that care about the Central Coast State Parks and the cultural and natural resources within them. Becoming a Friend of CCSPA or a Keystone Sponsor of CCSPA will directly impact State Park supported programs and events. You will help ensure healthy habitats, protection of public lands, preservation of history and culture, as well as connect people everywhere to the rare treasures of the Central Coast.
You're making a difference by investing in the future of our Central Coast State Parks and the programs they offer. Supporting our mission as a non-profit can be made on many levels, even by donating in-kind. With over 10 million visitors per year to our Central Coast State Parks, your donation will leave an enduring legacy to ensure our parks' programs will continue to inspire future generations!
