Why Orbidal Do What We Do.

I've just spent a couple of days representing Orbidal, at the Slush conference in Helsinki, Finland. Thank you to Enterprise Ireland for helping out - fantastic support as always.

Someone asked me "why are you doing what you do" and I thought I might share a quick story.

Earlier this week, I met a small company in the design and printing industry. They had a great client portfolio (all in the private sector) and an ambition to grow their public sector revenues.

They'd seen a tender, but they had only four days to submit it and having never worked on a tender before, they didn't know where to start.

We agreed to help - and by help we meant we could deliver a high quality proposal that would score top marks across every non-cost section of the proposal. Our aim was to make it near impossible for the awarding body to avoid taking their proposal seriously and make them real contenders to win the job.

Our process was simple:

1. Capture their biographies and case studies.

2. Populate the response using our library of precedent answers (we have worked on over 5,000 tender submissions, so there is always an answer that fits).

3. Edit/review all of the content so that it flows, aligns with, and critically exceeds the buyers expectations of what a great proposals looks like.

4. Add in the pricing and submit.

We only had two days to compete this proposal, but we have a trick.

Our Orbidal platform contains templates and model answers collated from over 5,000 proposal questions. This means that 70% of the proposal content can be completed in less than two hours.

We spent the rest of the time optimising the content and working on the price.

The result was a 52 page proposal that looked great and answered every question comprehensively and with flair.
