Why that "old faithful"? diet isn't working?

Why that "old faithful" diet isn't working?

Say you go back to a specific diet that helped drop those initial 10 pounds in the past, but trying it again gets ya nowhere.

I wanted to shed some light on the real reason for this.

Because naturally it's easy to get frustrated when, instead of seeing changes in the mirror and some movement on the scale, nothing happens.

So we start looking for alternatives in all the wrong places...

Google..

Karen at the office..

That one old high school classmate that randomly slid into the messages..

Maybe it's because they don’t have the same metabolism in middle age that they had the last time they tried?

Their hormones have changed with age...

They can’t handle carbs anymore...

And while those reasons make sense on paper…

But the main reason this diet no longer works is none of the above, at least directly.

The great news is the answer is actually simpler than any of that and can be fixed relatively easily.

At the end of the day, our weight loss is determined by the calories we consume relative to what we burn.

You probably have some understanding of that concept, but here’s where it gets a little trickier.

Our lifestyles also change as we get older. We have more stress, sleep poorly more often, sit a helluva lot more and stop doing the things that naturally kept our calorie burn up in our younger years.

It doesn’t mean your metabolism has changed drastically, but it does mean your approach must change to get it back up to speed.

And by knowing and implementing this new way of looking at weight loss as a simple formula (don't worry, it doesn't involve endless cardio), my clients have been able to drop the pounds like they used to without doing things they hate like cutting carbs and buying pills from dear old Karen.

And maybe you’d like to accomplish the same thing without doing all the stuff you hate that doesn't work, too?

If so, message me “NEW” and I’ll be in touch to learn more about your goals and how and if we can help you get unstuck.
