Why now is the best time to start a career in tech

As the world has modernised and changed over time, so have the careers that are in demand. It used to be that the best way to make a living was through traditional careers in fields like medicine, law or finance — but those careers aren’t as desirable as they once were. The same can be said for many other industries: Traditional finance and professional services are on the decline, and many white collar businesses are shrinking or closing due to technological disruption in their industries.

That’s why now is an excellent time to learn about opportunities in the tech industry. I'll be talking about the sales route into tech and discussing why it can be such an attractive career option, for people who want a faster route to success in their career, more flexibility in their work lives and the opportunity to establish great income potential.

Salespeople are needed at all levels for companies across many sectors in the tech industry. The demand for sales reps is increasing faster than other roles as well; tech companies in particular need highly skilled professionals who have strong communication skills and excellent customer service abilities.

It's no secret that sales careers in tech are great for building wealth quickly. As a salesperson, you’ll have the opportunity to earn significantly more than most other professionals as soon as you get started. Sales careers offer a fast track for career growth—and just about anyone can excel at them if they put their minds to it.

Working in Tech sales is not just about selling, it's about working as part of a coordinated effort with other teams to build, distribute and grow your company's customer base.
