Simple Things You Can Do to Start Your Best New Year 2018

Simple Things You Can Do to Start Your Best New Year 2018

I received this meaningful note, shared to me as an 'Opener' to the first morning of the New Year of 2018... It was shared by a colleague in the industry of mine, named Jeyaram and i pondered over this, and thought that, this is Powerful, that i wanted to share it with all of you here...

It gave me a lot of Reflections on How We Ought to Start our New Year and How We Keep Our Motivation to Achieve What We Have Set Out to Achieve, while Enjoying the Process.

The Year 2017 was an Amazing Year for me, and when people asked me 'How did You Get There?' - I just simply replied 'I set the Goals, but i Enjoyed the Process and the People along the Way... & I Reminded Myself to be Grateful...'

I became 'Solution-Oriented' instead of just 'Resolution-Oriented' for the New Year that has Passed!

THAT has made all the Difference!

GREAT MORNING Brand New 2018 and here is the Story...

When I started using pen in my primary school, and I made a mistake, I would try hard to erase it before submitting to my teacher.

Sometimes, I use chalk to clean my mistake but it later re-appeared.

So I began to use saliva, it worked, but only to leave holes in my books.

My teachers then used to beat me for being outrageously dirty. But all I tried to do was to cover my error.

One day, a kind hearted teacher who loved me so much called me aside and he said, "Anytime you make a mistake, just cross it and move on".

He said further "Trying to erase your mistakes would only damage your book to nothing."

I told him in protest that I don't want people to see my mistake.

My loving teacher laughed and said "Trying to erase your mistake will make more people know about your mess and the stigma is for life".

Have you made some mistakes in life? Cross it over and move on.

Don't expose yourself as a result of trying to cover your mistakes.

Better things are ahead of you.

Strike out your 2017 mistakes and move into 2018 with a fresh note.

Take a Stand

(Make a Decision ) for building a fresh New Habit than making a Resolution to fight against your old habits.

?? Resolution is a War against Our Own strongest habits.

?? So, Never make resolutions! It will exhaust You. Make Decisions.

?? Resolutions are made against a far greater force within.

Decisions are made out of needs of the hour.

Decisions keep you moving, resolutions burst Ur energy in one go.

You will not carry on, You will not keep going as you will get exhausted in short period. This is the reason resolutions are not kept for a long.

?? How can you challenge the crocodile while living in the water body. In the same way, Resolution is made against the force which is far greater than your will and determination called as old habits.

?? So Never decide against anything rather decide for something.

?? Always decide for something to get support of that thing. Always be pro not against. There is nothing in this world which acts against.

?? Take a stand. As Stand is never against something. It is the soveirgn position like a fort. Fort is never against something, it is there as a stand as for, it is there for our good. It is not build against enemy. It is built for our safety and surveillance. The same way,

when you take a stand of getting up early everyday....it's not a against Your laziness.... in fact it is for Your health. It is with your well being. So your energy will not waste while fighting your laziness instead your health and wellbeing will support your decision of getting up early.

It is same for jogging, gym, non smoking, eating healthy & on time, New habits are not against old habits they are independent and for your good and it's your need of the hour. So take the stand.

?? & Please never ever stand against something

Always stand for some cause, for some people or for your Vision. This will make your life heaven.

?? Take a Stand. Take decisions...Say No to Resolutions.

 Say YES to Solutions.

Don't forget This moment is only reserved for Celebration. You can't abuse this moment. The moment is what You are! You are nothing but a moment. Use it to Celebrate Your temporary existence here!

Strike out your 2017 mistakes and move into 2018 with a fresh note.

Take a Stand & This is Your Chance to Seize the New Year!

Interesting way of writing and interesting opinions being shared. Have yet to really come across many articles suggesting people to not make resolutions. But I guess at some form it does makes sense. However, I do beg to differ in a sense where resolution is a force against our strongest habbit. To some, a resolution might be as simple a living a happier and healthier life, spending more time with family and etc. These might not be that much of a "burden" for most to achieve. I do strongly agree with taking a stand on something and learning from the process of decision making. Perhaps, it could be better by coming to a common ground where you first make "reasonable" resolutions. Then, throughout the year, when you feel tired and felt that it will definitely be unachievable, then we take a stand, and make a decision on how can it be simplified in a way that the particular resolution can still be achieved? As to me, resolution is like an end goal, and for some, without that, they might be lost I'm between. Just my 2 cents in trying to integrate both setting a resolution and integrating your technique!
