Question of the Week
You review numerous resumes every day. What do you wish candidates would do a better job of when applying for a certain job??-?Jack from Los Feliz, CA

Answer:
It is very unfortunate?when a candidate responds frustrated to a rejection letter telling me about all their relevant experience, that is?not?listed on their resume.
A recruiter may scan through 50+?resumes for one?particular role, so if key words do not jump off the page, your resume will most likely be ignored. If you submit a resume that you created two?jobs ago, it will most likely be ignored. If your resume is not customized to the current job description you are applying to, it most likely will be ignored.
What candidates must understand is that your resume is the first glimpse of your work history. You don’t have to be elaborate, but you do need to show transferrable skills that compliment the role you are applying to. STAND OUT!?Read the job description and make sure the skills required (and even preferred,?if you have them) are visible so you can be considered for that interview. -Tanyeh?from ConnectedTALENT
