Why my investment could fail If I haven't a good relationship with my partners

For a corporate relationship works, profiles and principles need to be aligned, do you agree? It is also fundamental that the partners know how to manage as a team. And this premise is good for any business.

It is important that the idealizers of a company establish a solid base, which they can build their brand in a healthy way in the market. If this basis doesn’t exist, it will not be enough to have a good quality product or service.

There is no point in having an extremely professional and qualified team, if the relationship between the partners is not based on respect.

We, as representatives of a company, are the greatest examples within it. Therefore, we should relate to our partners the way we would like our employees and clients to relate.

I've always had a great relationship with my partners. I do not remember having any discussion with them.

Our partnership is so strong that we even agree to disagree.

However, I know that not every company has people on top who know how to relate and listen to each other. So I bring to the discussion three points that make the difference when it comes to building a high-level corporate relationship to ensure the success of your business.

Team work

The main factor that determines the success or failure of a business is people. If there is no agreement and team work at the helm of the company, then everything fails.

To establish and strengthen your company, the relationship between you and your partners must to be structured in collaboration from both. Of course always in view of a common goal.

For this reason, in a corporate relationship, it is also important to establish a knowledge network. That is, a relationship made by professionals who complement each other. If the members are from different areas, excellent! For then you will have much to share. 

But if they are not, no problem. Because although they are from the same area of activity, they are different individuals, with different tastes and opinions that will give rise to enriching debates.

Knowing how to relate to people demonstrates resourcefulness in dealing with a team. Listening carefully and expressing yourself politely should be a prerequisite for choosing your members.

Healthy relationship between members

This point is linked to what I mentioned earlier. To work as a team requires building a healthy relationship between members. For this happen, we need to understand our limits and the limits of others.

I always remember the teachings I had as a child: respect to be respected, listen when necessary and contribute at appropriate times, thinking of everyone and not only in itself.

These attitudes are indispensable and also applicable to the business world. In this way, we can establish a healthy and propitious relationship for a good development of our company.

Goals Aligned

Only when partners are aligned with objectives, principles and purposes, the company can establish itself solidly in the marketplace. This alignment of horizons is fundamental within any relationship, being it personal or professional. Do you agree?

When we want to get somewhere together, team work and the relationship between partners becomes light, because we all have the same focus.

Therefore, the corporate relationship must be on the same frequency, with profiles appropriate to the company's culture and goals. If this doesn’t happen, failure becomes imminent. It is worth remembering that 9 out of 10 startups go wrong because of this kind of unpreparedness (it is not only because of this, but it contributes).

If there were disagreements between us, we would not be able to deal with the conflicts and consequently we would not make our brand grow.
