It's essential to distinguish whether you're experiencing sleep disruption due to external factors or true insomnia, which is a condition where you struggle to sleep despite a calm external environment.
If insomnia is returning, evaluate if you've stopped practices that previously helped, such as good sleep hygiene (limiting caffeine, avoiding late-night snacking, etc.).
Stress and anxiety are common insomnia triggers. Reflect on how you've managed these in the past, whether through therapy, meditation, or other coping mechanisms.
Those with a history of insomnia may become overly vigilant about minor sleep disruptions, which can worsen the situation. Try to avoid overreacting to small changes in your sleep pattern.
If you've ruled out all other causes, consider whether new stressors, physical issues, or hormonal imbalances might be contributing to your insomnia, and consult a doctor if needed.
