By now, most New Year’s resolutions have already been abandoned—hence why today is dubbed National Quitters Day. It’s that moment when initial excitement fades, and without the right systems, even well-intentioned goals fall apart.
As James Clear said, "You don't rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems."
But here’s the thing: this isn’t just about personal goals. The same thing happens in marketing all the time.
Consistency: The Secret Sauce
Last night, I attended a Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC Mixer, and four people approached me to say they love my content. I was surprised by the feedback because I’m currently overhauling and improving my content. This feels like just the beginning, but it reminded me of something: what feels routine to us can be what others admire. Consistency doesn’t just maintain momentum—it sets a bar others notice.
This ties into the idea of "More, Better, New." If you’re struggling in any area, start by doing more of it. As you put in the reps, you naturally improve. And as you get better, new opportunities and ideas emerge.
Too often, businesses jump straight to something new—a shiny campaign, logo, or website—thinking it will solve deeper problems. But without consistent effort, those shiny things won’t deliver lasting results.
Focus on building consistency first. That unlocks better outcomes and paves the way for long-term success.

So today, on National Quitters Day, let’s commit to consistency. Whether in marketing or life, showing up regularly drives real results.
