Why Mondays Suck
Monday's suck.
Whoever argues about that is seeking sainthood.
The statement is universal fact, the question is "Why?"
Simple. Because weekends are sublime. We freelance through them, devour pasta, endulge in brunches, drink mimosas.
So regardless of how much we may love our work, we've got this thing called "the office" greeting us Monday when just hours before it was a cozy bar, a favorite sofa, a chaise lounge by the pool.
The whole Monday Yuks thing starts in grade school and shadows us for the rest of our lives.
In the eastern US, there will be a blizzard this week and we'll have a snow day or two. Rather have spring, but never look a gift horse in the mouth.
But will the flakes fall Monday. Tomorrow? No!
Why? I asked a hundred meteorologists and they all said the same thing:
"Monday's Suck."
I'm not seeking sainthood just yet but our family weekends seem non stop from Friday through Sunday night. My reprieve is the week.
